The client's primary requirement for this 75th project with Tagmax was the installation of a highly visible tagging system - specifically, a pair of X Clear Pedestal Systems - to act as a significant, immediate deterrent to potential shoplifters.

This installation was critical for protecting their valuable handbag inventory and ensuring a strong security presence in the high-traffic outlet environment.

The Project: Integrating Deterrence with Complex Door Design

The project required precise scheduling and close coordination with the shopfitting team to ensure the visible security system was perfectly placed to offer maximum protection without interfering with the custom glass and wood entrance doors.

Key Objectives:

1. Maximum Deterrence: Install the distinctive X Clear AM Pedestal System as a clear security measure to protect the high-value handbag inventory.
2. Optimised Placement: Successfully install the pedestals to achieve optimal detection at a 2-metre separation, while accounting for the swing radius of the custom glass and wood doors.
3. Seamless Integration: Ensure the installation process was integrated into the shop-fitter's schedule via distinct first and second fix phases, maintaining a clean aesthetic.

Action Taken:

• Strategic Placement: The installation team determined the most effective positioning for the pedestals was behind the door swing. This strategic decision ensured the clear glass and wood doors could operate without hindrance while maintaining the necessary 2-metre detection field between the AM pedestals.
• Two-Phase Installation: Tagmax collaborated closely with the shopfitting team on site, dividing the project into two efficient phases:
• Phase 1: First Cable Fix: Necessary groundwork and cabling were laid and buried within the floor before the final flooring finishes were applied.
• Phase 2: Second Fix & Calibration: The X Clear Pedestal units were mounted, and the system was fully calibrated once the shopfitters had completed their work, ensuring minimum site disruption.
• Invisible Infrastructure: To achieve a very clean and premium aesthetic, the power supply unit was expertly concealed behind the side wall, leaving all cables discretely buried in the floor. The only visible elements were the sleek, transparent pedestal units themselves.
